Arrest Made After Boston Grandmother Shot, Killed In Drive-by
Police said they have arrested a 37-year-old man in connection with a drive-by triple shooting that left a 74-year-old grandmother dead.

BOSTON — Police arrested a 37-year-old man in connection with a drive-by shooting that left a 74-year-old grandmother and recent retiree dead this weekend.
Anthony Davis, 37, of Mattapan, was arrested on Monday and charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of a firearm - fourth offense - and armed career criminal level 1 in connection with the death of Eleanor Maloney, who was just a bystander.
Davis was reportedly in a hospital and will be arraigned at a later date.

Maloney was shot and killed during a drive-by shooting in Mattapan just before 5 p.m. Saturday. Two other people had what police were calling non-life threatening injuries. Police said Maloney was not the target of the attack.
All three victims were outside of the house at 10 Mattapan Street when the shooting happened. A SWAT team entered the house and left after searching the home and finding it was empty.

Boston Mayor Martin Walsh, Police Commissioner William Gross and Suffolk County District Attorney Rachael Rollins were at the scene shortly after it happened over the weekend, along with what was described as a "huge" police presence as the investigation got underway.
"This was an innocent woman struck by gunfire," Gross told reporters.
Police said the triple shooting in Mattapan over the weekend was still under investigation.
