Boston Firefighters Put Out 2-Alarm Fire At Tremont Street
Streets around the corner of Stuart and Tremont streets downtown were blocked off as firefighters work to put out a fire.
BOSTON — Boston firefighters have put out two-alarm fire that broke out Thursday evening at a 24 story building under construction on Tremont Street. Fire officials said no one was injured in the blaze.
Officials said the fire was reported just before 5:30 p.m. When firefighters arrived they could see flames in the bottom floor of building near the corner Stuart and Tremont streets.
The fire was contained to the outside construction materials, according to officials. The damages are estimated at $250,000 and investigators are still working to figure out what caused the fire.

Police blocked Boylston Street to Kneeland as crews worked, according to Patch readers in the area.
