Boston Police Hunt For Seaport Hit-And-Run Suspect
The driver of a stolen Amtrak truck hit a woman and several vehicles in Boston's Seaport neighborhood then ran off, police said.

BOSTON — Police are looking for a man who authorities said drove a stolen white Amtrak pickup truck into pedestrians then ran off in Boston's Seaport neighborhood Friday morning. At least one person, a woman, was injured in the crash. Amtrak officials said the truck was stolen from a worksite earlier in the day.
"After leaving the worksite, the suspect struck a utility pole, a parked vehicle and also struck and injured a person," leaving her with injuries that were not considered life-threatening, an Amtrak spokesperson said in an email to Patch.
Amtrak said it was working with the Boston Police Department.

"Preliminary information indicates only one pedestrian was struck," said Officer Stephen McNulty, a Boston police spokesperson, in an interview with Patch.
According to police, around 11:47 a.m., someone called to report a pedestrian hit by a truck. Witnesses told reporters the white pickup truck came out of nowhere and hit a woman and cars nearby. The driver then jumped out of the vehicle and ran off on foot, the witnesses said.
