Arsenault Appointed Braintree’s Director of Public Works
Arsenault brings more than twenty years of management experience in both the public and private sectors to the position.

BRAINTREE, MA - Mayor Joseph C. Sullivan has announced the appointment of James Arsenault, P.E. as the Town of Braintree’s Director of Public Works. Mr. Arsenault joins the Town of Braintree after more than twenty years of management experience in both the public and private sectors. He is a native of Massachusetts and has previous public works experience with the Towns of Wellesley, Walpole, Westford and the City of Marlborough. He most recently served as the Assistant Director of Public Works for the City of Kissimmee, Florida.
“Jim will be a great addition to our team” said Mayor Sullivan. “His extensive professional background in public works and the private sector are attractive attributes that will help us.”

Mr. Arsenault holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Massachusetts, Florida, and in Washington State.
Mr. Arsenault replaces Thomas W. Whalen, who retired in April after more than thirty-five years of service to the Town. Town Engineer Robert Campbell has been serving as interim Director.

Mr. Arsenault’s first day in his new role will be Monday, October 3rd.
