Braintree Health Inspection Violations: April 2013

There were 66 health inspections in Braintree in April. Seven critical violations were resolved upon reinspection.

During the month of April, the Braintree Department of Municipal Licenses and Inspections conducted 66 inspections of establishments in town that serve food. The following is a sampling of violations from those reports.

Marybeth McGrath, director of Department of Municipal Licenses and Inspections, said inspectors are encourages to denote positives at their inspections. The reports below only include "critical" violations. 

The reports are as written by Braintree health inspectors and include the date on which the violations were resolved.

  • Salad prep table not working- product tested at 70-76 degrees fahrenheit. All PHF's need to be disposed of. Issue corrected, April 11.
  • CO2 tanks not anchored. Issue corrected, April 10.

Qdoba, April 2

  • Anchor CO2 tanks. Issue resolved at time of inspection.

NE House of Pizza, April 9, reinspected April 23

  • Provide thermometer in cake refrigerator. Issue corrected April 26.
  • Post permit/allergy certificate next to permit. Issue resolved April 23.
  • Clean and sanitize knife blade on can opener. Issue resolved April 13.
  • Provide thermometer in all refrigerators. Issue corrected April 26.

Cafe Asiana, April 4, reinspected April 24

  • Observed chicken on middle shelf. Issue resolved at time of inspection.

Boston Kitchen, April 10

  • Provide test kit for sanitizer. Issue corrected April 23.
  • Provide weather stripping at rear egress. Issue resolved by reinspection.

Sarku Japan, April 17, reinspected May 1

  • Clean vent in walk-in refrigerator. Issue corrected May 1.
  • Label bulk foods (i.e. flour, rice). Issue resolved May 1.
  • Provide test kit for sanitizer. Issue resolved May 1.
