Braintree To Hold Town Beautification Day Saturday

After the cleanup effort, there will be a cookout at Sunset Lake

BRAINTREE, MA - Mayor Charles Kokoros is excited to announce that the Town of Braintree will be holding our annual Beautification Day on Saturday.

Residents who would like to participate are asked to meet at Town Hall at 8 a.m. Saturday morning. We will provide all participants with a Beautification T-shirt, gloves and trash bags.

The target areas for this year’s cleanup include the Town Hall Memorial Mall, the beach and park at Sunset Lake, Penniman Park, Smith Beach and the Braintree High School access road. At noon, to thank all our volunteers for their hard work, we will be having a cookout at Sunset Lake.

Additionally, Friday at 74 Pond St., the Town will be holding a Household Hazardous Waste Day. Household Hazardous Waste Day is from 9 a.m. to noon. Please note that no electronics will be collected. For a complete list of accepted Household Hazardous Items please click here.

Lastly, curbside yard waste pick-up began last week and will continue throughout the month of May. Curbside yard waste pickup includes grass, leaves and branches that are in paper bags or an open container that weigh less than 50 pounds. Please do not put yard waste in the Town-provided trash/recycling carts.
