Braintree Native Signs With Emmanuel College Volleyball
Lauren Talbott, a senior at Notre Dame Academy, will continue her volleyball career at Emmanuel College in the fall.
HINGHAM, MA — A Braintree athlete is set to continue her athletic career after signing a National Letter of Intent earlier this month.
Lauren Talbott was among 12 Notre Dame Academy seniors who made their official collegiate athletic commitments among family, friends, classmates, and the school’s faculty and staff during a ceremony on Nov. 8.
The student-athletes were celebrated during a National Letter of Intent Signing Ceremony held this morning at Notre Dame Academy in Hingham, marking a significant milestone in their academic and athletic journeys.

The twelve student-athletes are as follows:
- Siobhan Colin of Canton: Lacrosse, Middlebury College
- Sydney Comeau of Pembroke: Soccer, College of the Holy Cross
- Emelia DaPonte of Marshfield: Soccer, Salve Regina University
- Lola Griffin of Dorchester: Soccer, Bryant University
- Jane Hilsabeck of Hingham: Lacrosse, Clemson University
- Jillian Johnson of Hingham: Golf, Merrimack College
- Kara Leahy of Marshfield: Diving, Sacred Heart University
- Shannon MacLeod of Cohasset: Softball, Boston College
- Aubrey McMahon of Norwell: Lacrosse, Colgate University
- Lauren Talbott of Braintree: Volleyball, Emmanuel College
- Reagan Waldner of Hull: Field Hockey, Trinity College
- Ciara Williams of Hingham: Lacrosse, Hood College
These students follow in the tradition of 78 alumnae who played sports at the collegiate level in the last 10 years.

President of Notre Dame Academy, Annemarie Lynch Kenneally ’80 P’13 ’15, expressed her admiration.
"We are immensely proud of these talented student-athletes. These young women have worked hard for years to succeed at the high school level, and I look forward to watching them continue their playing careers at outstanding institutions of higher learning," said Kenneally.
"At Notre Dame Academy, the leadership team, teachers, staff members, and coaches all work together to equip students with the skills and values necessary to thrive beyond the classroom, and the achievements of these twelve student-athletes are a testament to the support we offer that enables each girl to achieve her personal goals."
Kristen McGill Kelly ’04, Director of Athletics at Notre Dame Academy, shared President Kenneally’s enthusiasm for these young women.
“They have consistently exhibited the qualities of true champions – teamwork, determination, and a relentless pursuit of success. I congratulate them for their accomplishments and thank them on their commitment and leadership – values that they have modeled for their fellow students during their years at Notre Dame Academy,” she said.
