Braintree Native, Towson Transfer Nick Timberlake Headed To Kansas
Timberlake chose the Jayhawks over North Carolina and UConn after entering the transfer portal.

BRAINTREE, MA — A Braintree native is heading to Lawrence, Kan. to suit up for one of the premier programs in college basketball this fall.
Nick Timberlake entered the transfer portal as a graduate transfer after a highly successful career at Towson. On Wednesday, he announced he'd be joining the University of Kansas after visiting Lawrence, as well as UConn and North Carolina.
Timberlake graduated from Braintree High School in 2017 and attended Kimball Union the following year, where he was selected to the Class AA All-New England Preparatory School Athletic Council Team.

As a redshirt freshman in 2019, he was named Colonial Athletic Association Sixth Man of the Year, beginning his ascension into a prominent role at Towson.
Timberlake averaged 17.7 points per game this past year for the Tigers while proving to be a marksman from deep, shooting 42 percent from three-point range.

He is the 29th player in Towson history to hit the 1,000-point mark, and his 1,522 make him the eighth leading scorer in program history. Timberlake became the career leader in three-pointers made and attempted this season.
