Braintree Recreation Offering Skiing, Snowboarding Lessons

The lessons are open to Braintree children ages 8 to 15.

BRAINTREE, MA — The Braintree Recreation Department will offer skiing and snowboarding lessons for kids this winter.

The five-week program is out of the Blue Hills ski area and will run on Tuesdays from Jan.4 to Feb. 1. Braintree residents age 8 to 15 are welcome to sign-up. Participants will receive their choice of a 75-minute skiing or snowboarding lesson each week in addition to use of the facility to practice what they learned.

The cost of the program, which includes round-trip bus transportation to and from the Braintree Recreation offices at 74 Pond St., can be found below:

  • $259 for participants who have their own equipment.
  • $349 for participants who will be renting equipment.
  • $30 for helmet rental.

Registration for this program opens on at 4 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2021 at the Braintree Recreation office at 74 Pond St. Due to the need for a parent or guardian to fill out rental and release forms, all sign-ups must be completed in person.
