Braintree Reopens Cooling Center
Residents looking to beat the heat can head over to the department of elder affairs.

BRAINTREE, MA — Need to escape the heatwave? The Town of Braintree has a cooling center to help you with that.
With a heat advisory in place until Thursday night, the town has reopened their cooling center at the department of elder affairs at 71 Cleveland Ave. from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Residents are also advised to check on their elderly neighbors and pets.

The area has yet to receive a break from the heatwave that has hung around for the past few days. The high is expected to hit around 90 degrees with a low of 73. A break in the weather comes Saturday in the form of a high of 76 and Sunday's temperature is expected to reach 82, according to the National Weather Service.
