Braintree's Newest Grocery Market Prioritizes Plant-Based Eating
Schubert Provisions recently opened on Washington Street with an emphasis on organic, local, plant-based foods.
BRAINTREE, MA — Braintree's newest grocer isn't your typical market.
Schubert Provisions recently opened at 353 Washington St. and hopes to bring local, organic and plant-based foods to the community.
"At Schubert Provisions we stock items for home and pantry that are either locally sourced, organic, natural, and always plant based," a description on the market's website read.

"You will also find an array of bulk items such as beans, grains, spices, herbs, shampoo, conditioners and body wash. We strive to provide healthier options for our community and our planet."
The store is owned by Quincy residents Elizabeth and Keith Schubert, and is located near the line between the two cities.

Ward 2 Quincy Councilor Anthony Andronico recently visited the store, sharing on Facebook that "the plant-based grocery store has so many fantastic options - fresh produce, zero-waste refill stations for grains, spices, and oils, and so many more locally sourced products."
The store is closed on Mondays. Hours for Tuesday through Saturday are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday.
