BuyBuy Baby Closing All Storefronts, Braintree Included
The move comes just a year after the physical stores reopened, with the company pivoting fully toward online-only sales.

BRAINTREE, MA — The Braintree buybuy Baby storefront is closing, but it isn't the only storefront to do so.
buybuy Baby announced recently that all physical U.S. stores would shutter, with the company shifting fully to online sales.
“With this shift, we’ve come to the difficult decision of closing our physical stores by the end of this year,” the company said in a statement on its website. “We understand this may be disappointing news, and we want all our customers to know this wasn’t a choice we took lightly.”

Closing sales are already in progress, and gift cards will be accepted at all locations until Oct. 31. The company said it will keep its popular baby registries on its website, where the use of gift cards will also be managed.
BuyBuy Baby once had about 120 brick-and-mortar stores. The attempt to resurrect BuyBuy Baby only lasted about 12 months. In bankruptcy proceedings last year, former parent Bed Bath & Beyond sold BuyBuy Baby’s intellectual property and trademark rights for $15.5 million to New Jersey-based Dream On Me Industries.
