Buybuy Baby Returns To MA With Braintree Store Now Open

BRAINTREE, MA — Buybuy Baby has made its triumphant return to the northeast, including a return to Massachusetts with the recently opened Braintree location.

The store has opened at 160 Granite St., cashing in on a promise made by new ownership to reopen some northeast stores in 2023 announced this summer.

The Braintree location is the only store in Massachusetts.

Dream On Me Industries — a longtime supplier of baby goods for Buy Buy Baby — bought the leases of the 11 stores in the northeast in July at a bankruptcy-run auction for about $1.17 million, CNBC reports. Buy Buy Baby — owned by Bed Bath & Beyond — was set to close all stores after failing to find a buyer in August.

More could follow as Dream on Me works to restore the Bed, Bath & Beyond brand, she said. Dahiya, who leads the Buy Buy Baby transition team, told CBNC that 100 to 120 stores could be open within one to three years.
