Dave & Buster's Will Pay $275K In MA Labor Violation Settlement
The company, with locations in Natick and Braintree, didn't give proper meal breaks to workers, according to the state Attorney General.

NATICK, MA — Dave & Buster's will pay a $275,000 settlement over failing to provide sufficient meal breaks and improper permitting for employees under 18.
According to the Massachusetts Attorney General's Office, the company is set to pay the settlement out to 824 employees for failing to provide a meal break for those working more than six hours in a day.
The company is set to accept three citations from the AG's Office, likely tied to each of its locations in Braintree, Natick and Woburn, respectively.

NBC 10 reports that the company also found itself in hot water for having improper work permits for employees under 18 while also having those employees work later hours than allowed by Massachusetts labor laws.
Under Massachusetts law, employees that are 16 and 17 aren't permitted to work between the hours of 10 p.m. or 6 a.m. An exception to that law is if they work at a restaurant or racetrack, they may work no later than midnight on non-school nights.

Additionally, any employee working more than six hours in one day is allowed by law one 30-minute break with permission to leave their place of work.
