Golf Lounge 18 To Open At South Shore Plaza

BRAINTREE, MA — Braintree-area golfers will have more options to get on the range without having to brave the cold weather this winter.

Golf Lounge 18, an entertainment-based premium indoor golfing facility, will open its eighth location at the South Shore Plaza in Braintree at the end of December.

This comes as Golf Lounge 18’s location in Peabody at the Northshore Mall will add an additional six golf bays due to "high demand."

Golf Lounge 18 utilizes indoor simulator bays to provide a unique experience for both experienced golfers and newbies. Golfers will have a space for socializing with friends and family, or for hosting private parties or corporate events, officials said.

Starting at $35 per hour, guests can reserve golf bays which can accommodate up to six golfers. Guests may bring their own clubs or use those supplied by the facility.

“Golf Lounge 18 provides golfers with a year-round experience with the ability to play on different courses that they may not otherwise have the opportunity to play on,” said Chris Botti, director of business development, Golf Lounge 18. “With our location in the North Shore thriving it only made sense to bring the experience to the South Shore. We are excited to bring the Golf Lounge 18 experience to the area.”

Scheduled to open at the end of December, Golf Lounge 18 at the South Shore Plaza will have 13 golf simulator bays featuring 250 different golf courses to choose from, and will offer lessons with PGA professionals, and various golf leagues for men, women and children.

It will have a full bar and kitchen featuring an all-day breakfast, tacos, handhelds and grilled cheese sandwiches making it the perfect space to host corporate and private events.

Beginning now, golfers can join Golf Lounge 18’s annual Winter League that tees off the week of Dec. 3. The league runs for nine weeks (seven weeks of regular season, two weeks of playoffs) playing a different course each week. Golfers will be competing against players from all eight Golf Lounge 18 locations.

The winners of the Winter League will receive the grand prize of three days, two nights, three rounds of golf at Streamsong Golf Resort in Bowling Green, FL. The cost is $349 per player.
