Mattapan Man Charged With Cocaine Possession After Struggle With Officer
Jeremy Lawrence allegedly concealed 21 baggies of cocaine in his mouth during a traffic stop in Braintree.

A 39-year-old Mattapan resident is facing charges of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, resisting arrest, assault and battery, obstructing justice, operating a motor vehicle after license revocation and failure to keep within marked lanes after a motor vehicle stop on June 21 in Braintree.
Jeremy Lawrence had his bail set at $20,000 after a struggle with an officer on Union Street.
According to Braintree Police Chief Russell Jenkins, Detective Michael Reynolds pulled over a BMW he saw with both passenger tires over the fog line on Union Street.
Detective Reynolds grew suspicious of Lawrence, who was driving the vehicle, and believed he had narcotics in his mouth. Reynolds saw several white rocks in plastic, under Lawrence's tongue, according to Jenkins.
A struggle ensued and the detective and suspect fell to the ground. Lawrence then spit out 21 baggies of crack cocaine.
