Now we'd like to ask a few questions about your reasons for running and your general views on politics and government. First, why are you seeking this office?

I have devoted much of my professional career to Braintree. Two generations of my family have benefited from growing up in Braintree and attending Braintree schools. I want to work so that the opportunities my family had are available for future generations

Please complete this statement: The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is \_\_\_, and this is what I intend to do about it.

Meeting current and future challenges. We need to control spending and create new revenue so that we eliminate our budget deficit. We need to provide local option circuit breaker tax relief to senior citizens and we need a plan to finance the upgrade of our elementary schools.

What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

I don’t know much about the other person seeking the office. What I offer is a record of achievement in municipal government. I helped buid Braintree’s financial reserves from $ 1 million to $14 million; in Norwell we completed $22 building, equipment and road projects without overrides and passed local option senior tax relief. We can do the same in Braintree.

What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?

Fixing the budget deficit, improving the schools and providing senior tax relief are my priorities.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

My work helping to build financial reserves in Braintree from $1 million in 2009 to $14 million in 2015. In Norwell we increased financial reserves from $2 million in 2015 to $5.3 million in 2023. We created and funded a $22 million capital plan that built a new public works headquarters and a new Town Hall without an override. We passed local option legislation to provide tax relief to eligible seniors.

What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?

Time spent with your family is time well spent.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?

Former President of Braintree Youth Basketball, Board of Directors Braintree American Little League, former Board of Directors Braintree Historical Society.
