BRAINTREE, MA - Starting this week, Patch is adding a dedicated reporter to cover all types of news coverage for Braintree.

My name is Mary Ellen Gambon, and I began my journalism career in 1994. I took a detour to work in state and Boston government and social services before returning to my passion for reporting.
Over the past five years, I have covered several communities, including Boston, Norwood, Dedham, Canton, Stoughton, Randolph, Sharon, Westwood, Walpole, Holbrook and Hopkinton. For the past six months, I have covered Dedham, Norwood, Westwood and Walpole for Patch.

Although I am new to covering Braintree, I am familiar with the town. As a Boston native, I have spent a lot of time at South Shore Plaza. I am looking forward to gaining more insight into the issues that are important to Braintree.
