Weymouth Sgt. Chesna's Procession Will Come Through Braintree
Braintree Police is advising residents on how to pay their respects to the fallen Weymouth Police Officer.

BRAINTREE, MA — Braintree Police have released details on the part of Sgt. Michael Chesna's funeral procession which will travel through Braintree.
Following Friday's funeral, the procession will enter Braintree at exit 6 from Interstate 93 South to Granite Street and head south towards Five Corners before arriving at Blue Hill Cemetery. The procession is expected in Braintree between 12:15 and 12:30 p.m., according to police.
Anyone who wishes to pay their respects is asked to park at the South Shore Plaza and stand on Granite Street up to Five Corners.

West Street will be closed to everyone but law enforcement agencies.
Chesna was killed while on duty Sunday morning, allegedly by Emanuel Lopes of Weymouth. Lopes is being held without bail for Chesna's murder and the fatal shooting of 77-year-old bystander Vera Lopes.

Chesna's funeral is scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Church in Hanover.
