Police Charging Brockton Woman in Crash That Knocked Out Power
The following information was supplied by the Braintree Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

A 30-year-old Brockton woman faces OUI and other charges after allegedly crashing her car into a utility pole in Braintree last Saturday morning, cutting power to local residents for several hours.
The woman, who was not named by police because she has yet to be charged, will also be summonsed on charges of operating to endanger and failure to stay within marked lanes.
She allegedly drove off Washington Street in the 300 block area just before 2 a.m. on Dec. 21 and snapped a utility pole in half, Chief Russell Jenkins said in a statement.
"Responding officers found the woman ... conscious and alert," Jenkins said. The utility pole was resting on the roof of the woman's vehicle and the wires were live.
"Braintree fire fighters and Fallon Ambulance medics removed the woman from her vehicle after BELD workers cut the power. A section of Washington Street from Common Street to Elm Street was closed for several hours while work
crews replaced the pole.
"The woman was transported to South Shore Hospital for treatment of
non-life threatening injuries."
