Recycling Center Proposed For West Street Building
RecycleWorks will hold a community meeting at Town Hall on Aug. 1 to discuss their proposal.

BRAINTREE, MA — Weymouth-based RecycleWorks has targeted Braintree as the location for their operation.
A neighborhood notice from Braintree attorney Carl Johnson III indicates that the company will hold a community meeting at Town Hall on Aug. 1 at 7 p.m. to discuss the proposal. The operation would be located in an industrial building at 530 West St.
Johnson wrote that they will show a video on the operation and present a traffic generation report. A "day in the life" report along with a fact sheet will be distributed as well.

The company's recycling operation for beverage packages that are no longer suitable to be sold, such as expired drinks or spoiled milk is currently located in Weymouth. Original plans called for that portion of their business to move to Stoughton, but they were later called off due to large public objection largely stemming from the proposed building's proximity to the O'Donnell Middle School.
Moe Banville, the COO of RecycleWorks, said during the Stoughton process that the entire operation would take place inside the building with no audible noise from outside.
