South Middle, Ross Elementary Roofs To Be Ready For School Start
Both roofs suffered major damage during a March storm.

BRAINTREE, MA — The two schools which fell victim to roof collapse during a major winter storm will be ready for students when they return to class.
Despite some bad weather this summer, both roofs at South Middle School and Ross Elementary School are just about finished and should be ready to go for the start of school.
"We are in good shape. We are anticipating that there will be people on the roof when school starts but there’s no reason to believe we won’t completely be ready to go," Superintendent Frank Hackett said.

Both schools suffered significant damage during a March storm which brought hurricane-like winds to the area. School and town officials were forced to scramble to clean up both schools and install a temporary roof so classes could resume.
The town council approved the funding for full roof replacements in May.
