State Police Divers Searching Braintree Lake For Murder Evidence
A state police dive team currently is searching Sunset Lake in Braintree in conjunction with the Plymouth County DA's office.

BRAINTREE, MA - Helicopters are circling over Sunset Lake in Braintree as Massachusetts state police divers search the waters for evidence that may aid in the ongoing investigation of the murder of a Brockton teen in September.
Liedson Terry-Monteiro, 16, was fatally shot at a Brockton house party on on Sprague Avenue on September 4.
A spokesperson for the Plymouth County District Attorney's office at noon confirmed by phone that "the Massachusetts State Police Underwater Dive Team is searching for evidence in the ongoing investigation of a murder committed in September 2021 in Brockton ." She did not say if the investigation was directly linked to Terry-Monteiro, but did specify that the search was for evidence and not a body.

A news report at noon said that the investigation may be connected to the investigation of Terry-Monteiro, who was referenced as Monteiro-Terry. His obituary refers to him as Terry-Monteiro.
No arrests have been made in that case.
