State Police Release Name Of Woman Killed In Braintree Crash
Sheikeya Davis was killed on Interstate 93 early Saturday morning.

BRAINTREE, MA — State Police have released the name of the person killed on Interstate 93 in Braintree early Saturday morning.
Sheikeya Davis, 29, of Taunton, died after she left her car. At about 1 a.m., State Police responded to a two-car crash on Interstate 93 South, north of Exit 5 in Braintree. A preliminary investigation indicates that the driver of a 2003 Buick Rendezvous, identified as Davis, lost control of the vehicle, causing it to crash into the guardrail before coming to rest in the right travel lane. Davis exited her Buick and was standing behind it when a 2005 Nissan Altima struck the Buick and pushed it into Davis.
Davis was pronounced dead at the scene, State Police said. The operator and sole occupant of the Nissan, a 20-year-old Brockton woman, was transported to Boston Medical Center with serious injuries.
