4 Teens Charged In Connection To Van Theft: Burlington Police
Three 17-year-olds and a 19-year-old were arrested after a stolen van crashed in Burlington.
BURLINGTON, MA — Three juveniles and one adult were charged in connection with a motor vehicle theft, according to police.
Police were dispatched to 400 District Ave. on Monday at 9:30 a.m. on a report of a stolen Toyota Sienna van. The van had been stolen out of Norwood and state police were tracking it into Burlington.
Officers found the van parked in the back of the Burlington Mall parking lot with what appeared to be four people inside. When officers turned on their emergency lights, the van took off, driving through the parking lot toward the Middlesex Turnpike.

Officers briefly stopped the pursuit due to safety concerns but later found the van on the Middlesex Turnpike where it had crashed into a guardrail. The four people in the van fled the accident.
Officers located all four suspects a short while later and detained them near 112 Mall Road.

A 17-year-old from Clinton was taken to an area hospital for evaluation. There were no other injuries.
The Clinton teen was charged with receiving a stolen motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, failure to stop for police, and reckless operation of a motor vehicle.
Two 17-year-olds, one from Stoneham and the other from Lowell, were charged with receiving a stolen motor vehicle.
Briar Gillis, 19, of Lowell, was also charged with receiving a stolen motor vehicle.
