Burlington Companies Among Top MA Places To Work In New Report

BURLINGTON, MA — Four Burlington’s companies are among the best large and very large employers in Massachusetts for 2022, according to a new report this week from the Boston Globe Magazine.

The Globe announced rankings on Wednesday, reviving its annual Top Places to Work listing for a 15th year. The news outlet divided employers into four groups based on their number of employees, with categories for “small,” “medium,” “large” and “largest” employers.

It ranked companies using data from anonymous employee surveys gauging various company traits.

Enterprise software company Progress led the way among Burlington firms, ranking 11th in the large employers category.

App and software developer Veracode followed further down the list, ranking 36th.

Nuance Communications, a software and technology company, ranked 43rd.

EMD Serono/MilliporeSigma/EMD Electronics was Burlington’s lone representative in the largest employers category, ranking 21st. EMD operates in the pharmaceutical and life science sector. It employs just over 4,500 people in Massachusetts, according to the Globe.
