Burlington Firefighters Graduate from MA Firefighting Academy
Two firefighters successfully completed and graduated from the Massachusetts Firefighter Academy last week.

BURLINGTON — Chief Andrew Connerty is pleased to share that Burlington Firefighter/EMTs Sean Daly and Ryan Loftus successfully completed and graduated from the Massachusetts Firefighter Academy on Friday, March 7.
Firefighter/EMTs Daly and Loftus were two of 33 graduates from departments in the Career Recruit Firefighter Training Program Class #328.

During the 50-day training program, participants receive classroom training in all basic firefighter skills. They practice first under non-fire conditions and then during controlled fire conditions. The graduates are now certified at the level of Firefighter I and II and in hazardous material operation.
The other 31 graduates of Class #328 represent the fire departments of Acton, Arlington, Ashland, Dracut, Fall River, Holden, Littleton, Lowell, Melrose, Methuen, Milford, Natick, Plainville, Watertown, Westborough, and Wilmington.

"Firefighters Daly and Loftus are valuable additions to our department," said Chief Connerty. "I am proud that the two of them represented Burlington with pride in the Academy, and we cannot wait to see how they thrive in their careers."
