Burlington Food Pantry To Celebrate Grand Reopening Ribbon Cutting
The food pantry is operated by the nonprofit People Helping People. It is now located on Murray Avenue in Burlington.
BURLINGTON, MA — The Burlington-based nonprofit People Helping People will celebrate the grand reopening of its food pantry next month with an open house and ribbon cutting at the food pantry site.
Formerly located in a space on St. Marks Road, the food pantry is now housed at 21 Murray Avenue in Burlington.
The grand reopening and ribbon cutting ceremony will take place on Aug. 10 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

“We are excited to have completed the move and would like to invite the community to come check out our new home,” People Helping People said in a recent press release shared by the Burlington Area Chamber of Commerce.
People Helping People describes itself as an organization focused on addressing the needs of people experiencing difficult financial circumstances. It operates its food pantry as part of that mission.

People Helping People said it had already "struggled to fit into" its former location before the COVID-19 pandemic. Those challenges only became more pronounced, however, as the pandemic took hold.
“The urgency became apparent with the dramatic increase in need for assistance experienced during the pandemic,” People Helping People said in its press release.
The People Helping People Food Pantry is open to donations daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Registered pantry clients can receive food on Tuesdays from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., on
Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and on Thursdays 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
