Burlington Historical Society Holding Talk on History of RCA in Town

Join Ed Tkacs and the Historical Society for a fascinating history discussion.

The Burlington Historical Society is welcoming people back from summer break with some tales of the "old days" when RCA was a major player in the town.

"Ed Tkacs is a fascinating guy with a keen memory and lots of stories of the fifties and sixties," a release by Joanne Kinchla. "If the name is familiar, you may have read an article by Ed in our local weekly paper, Burlington Union. Ed has a flair for telling a good story.  Ed is also an avid card player, (though I would hesitate to call him a card shark) you can often catch him in the card room at the Burlington Senior Center."

Annual Membership is $15.00 per family and $12 for a single membership.  The Historical Society always welcomes new members, guest fee is $2.00.

The Burlington Historical Society will be holding this meeting at the Human Services Building 61 Center Street in Burlington in the Murray-Kelly wing  on Thursday, September 5, 6:30 p.m. doors open, Program begins at 7 p.m.   The presentation is followed  by a short business meeting and break for coffee and (mostly home-baked) goodies, followed by a Mystery Raffle, finishing up about 9:30 p.m.
