The Burlington Housing Authority Board will be meeting today vote on a new Executive Director

The Burlington Housing Authority Board is holding an important meeting today to vote for a new Executive Director.

During the meeting, members will discuss the candidates for the position and discuss feedback from residents about the candidates.

Former Executive Director Maureen Lynch was arraigned last month on charges of taking unwarranted privileges. Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan’s office alleges that Lynch used the housing authority’s credit card to pay for dental work, veterinary bills, and expenses related to her son’s education and her daughter’s wedding.

Police say Lynch’s personal expenditures during an 18 month period maxed out the BHA credit card to its limit of $20,000.
