Doug Hastings set out in 2007 to donate blood as frequently as he could in 100 cities and towns across the state, according to <a href="https://www.wcvb.com/article/5-for-good-burlington-man-completes-milestone-blood-donation/63035402?utm_campaign=snd-autopilot" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">WCVB 5-ABC.</a> The feat took 17 years as donors are required to wait 56 days between donations to avoid anemia.
