This marks the 51st year of annual Safety Town programming in Burlington, which sees officers utilize a child-sized town complete with buildings, crosswalks, street signs, and traffic signals to educate children.
“The Department is pleased to be able to offer Safety Town again this year in partnership with Burlington Mall,” Burlington Police Chief Thomas Browne said in a press release last week. “By teaching children how to be safe on the road, we can ensure that they have the tools to make good decisions, whether they’re riding their bikes or on the school bus."
