Power Restored After Storm Puts Thousands In The Dark
More than 100,000 customers statewide lost power Monday, including a quarter of Burlington.

BURLINGTON, MA — Power was restored for most of Burlington Monday night, after over a quarter of the town was left in the dark by a storm. At the outage's height, 3,456 customers were without power.
The storm also took out trees and power lines across the state, including Burlington. Burlington police reported a wire down at the Winn Street entrance to Shaw's earlier Monday, prompting a brief road closure.
Over 100,000 customers statewide lost power Monday night, as outages rolled across the state.

The strongest recorded wind gust was at the Blue Hills Observatory in Milton, where an unofficial reading hit 87 miles per hour.
