Plummer Youth Promise, setting a standard of excellence that improves outcomes for young people in or at risk of entering state care, has hired Kate Mun, MSW, LICSW as its first-ever Director of Practice Excellence.

To ensure the provision of high quality, current, permanency centered, age appropriate, trauma-informed interventions for youth in its care, Plummer Youth Promise created the new role of Director of Practice Excellence. In this role, Mun will work closely with the Director of Operations and the Senior Manager of Quality and Evaluation to direct and manage clinical practice through implementing the supervisory and coaching framework.

“Making sure we are delivering current best practices that prioritize family as the best outcome for young people is critical for the clients we serve,” said Nicole McLaughlin, Executive Director at Plummer Youth Promise. “Kate has worked as a consultant to Plummer for years so having her join us as a full-time employee is ideal. Her experience in working on permanency services, practice improvement, and strategic leadership within child welfare systems make her an ideal candidate for the newly created position.”
