Burlington Says Hello To A New Little Free Library
The "Little Free Library" is in the outdoor park and will pair with the StoryWalk created earlier this year.

BURLINGTON, MA — A "Little Free Library" has been installed at The Park at Burlington Mall.
Burlington Public Library Director Michael Wick said the Friends of the Burlington Public Library and Burlington Mall partnered to create and fill the new addition, which contains books for all ages donated by the Friends.
The "Little Free Library" is in the outdoor park and will pair with the StoryWalk created earlier this year.

"The Friends came to mind as a natural partner for this project when our mall colleagues came up with the idea for it, and we're grateful to the Friends, as well as Burlington Mall, for their efforts to make this a reality and build upon the success of the StoryWalk," Wick said.
Director of Marketing and Business Development Sheila Hennessy came up with the idea.

"We are excited to offer Burlington residents a Bigger, Better Burlington Mall with a whole new era of shopping, socializing and dining," she said. "The community is welcome to take a book or share a book from the Little Free Library located in the new outside green space, The Park. The partnership with Burlington Public Library and The Friends of The Burlington Public Library is an integral part of our family programming and we are thrilled to promote reading in the community."

"The Friends of the Burlington Public Library are thrilled to continue our community partnership with Burlington Mall by maintaining the Little Free Library at The Park," said Virginia Churchill Shahid, the president of the Friends of the Burlington Public Library. "We are particularly pleased to be supporting a cause that matters to us, reducing, reusing, and repurposing — in this case donated books."
