How Much Snow Did Burlington Get In The February Nor'easter?
The forecast was mostly right in Burlington, with well over a foot of snow being reported.
BURLINGTON, MA — Burlington received well over a foot of snow in the winter storm that swept the state Monday and Tuesday, proving the forecasts right.
The town received 18.2 inches of snow as of 11:30 p.m. Monday, according to the National Weather Service's snowfall spotter report.
That's one of the biggest snowfall totals in the area, though Lowell and Wilmington beat it with over 20 inches. One spotter reported two feet of snow in Lowell.

Local restrictions
Here's what we know about how local officials are handling the storm. Check the town's Alert Center for the most up-to-date information.
Parking ban
Burlington does not typically declare snow emergency parking bans — because parking on town streets is banned overnight all winter long. Beginning Dec. 1, on-street parking was prohibited between 2 a.m. and 8 a.m. every night.
The town begins to plow major roads after about 2 inches of accumulation, followed by secondary roads and then minor roads and dead ends. It is both unsafe and illegal to shovel or plow snow into the road, the town notes.

Trash collection
As of 11 a.m. Monday, the town has not announced any trash and recycling collection delay.
School
Burlington will have a "traditional snow day" with no remote learning Tuesday, the district said.
The district is also sending students home early Monday ahead of the storm. There is no afterschool preschool program, and the high and middle schools both have early dismissal:
- Burlington High School: Noon dismissal
- Marshall Simonds Middle School: 12:30 p.m. dismissal.
Other measures
"Please make sure to remove all basketball hoops, sports nets, ramps, etc. from the street and right of way as the town is not responsible if said items are damaged during a snow/salt event," the Public Works Department said.
The library, including curbside pickup, closed at 3 p.m. Monday.
