Burlington's Lahey Hospital Awards $238K In Grants To 13 Organizations
The grants focus on programs related to food access, mental health, transportation and housing stability.

BURLINGTON, MA — Lahey Hospital & Medical Center (LHMC) has announced that it has awarded a total of $238,000 in grants to 13 community-based organizations.
According to the hospital, the grant awards focus on programs related to food access, mental health, transportation and housing stability, all of which were identified as areas of great need during the hospital's recent community assessment.
Each year, grant applications are reviewed by the Lahey Hospital Grant Selection Committee, which then chooses the recipients. The committee features hospital leaders and local partners from across Lahey Hospital's service area.

"These organizations share Lahey Hospital & Medical Center's mission to ensure the needs of communities we serve are being met," said Dr. Timothy Liesching, interim president of LHMC. "We are proud to help support organizations that are giving back to their communities through our community benefits program."

- The North Suburban YMCA's Livestrong and Enhance Fitness Programs, Reading, Woburn, Waltham, Brighton and Roxbury
- Housing Corporation of Arlington, Arlington
- Lowell Community Health Center, Lowell
- Merrimack Valley Food Bank, Lowell
- Metro North YMCA Enhance Fitness, Lynn, Melrose, Saugus, Peabody and Stoneham
- Mill City Grows, Lowell
- Minuteman Senior Services, Bedford
- North Shore Community Health Center, Peabody
