Burlington's Mikayla Merrill Competes for Chance to Sing National Anthem at New England Revolution Game

Merrill one of 15 finalists invited to compete for the chance to perform the national anthem at a Revs home game this year.

BURLINGTON, MA - Mikayla Merrill of Burlington was one of 16 finalists invited by the New England Revolution to compete for the chance to perform the national anthem at a Revs home match during the 2016 season.

Merrill earned the opportunity by edging out the competition during the fourth annual New England Revolution National Anthem Auditions and making it to the live final showdown on March 9 at Lansdowne Pub in Boston. The event was part of the club’s official 2016 Pub Tour presented by Budweiser.

The guest judges - New England Revolution players Charlie Davies and Jose Goncalves, and Sideline Reporter Jessie Coffield – were tasked with selecting three winners. Alex Corddry of 7News Boston served as emcee.
