BURLINGTON, MA - 2015 started out with historic blizzards, and is ending with an unseasonably warm December.
There were number of stories that captured people’s attention throughout the year.
One of the biggest stories happened early in the year when a Burlington child care provider was arraigned on child homicide charges. A few days ago, the woman was released on bail after the medical examiner’s office reversed its finding on the baby’s death.

Another big news story for area residents was when Wegmans opened in October in town. The grocery store was the third Wegmans at the time in the state.
A murder captured the attention of many in the region this summer. A dead woman was found in a Burlington hotel room.Two men were arrested in July.

In August, people in town were talking about the two bobcats that were spotted in a Burlington backyard.
Always a big story, people are always interested in having updated information on where Burlington’s highest level sex offenders live and work.
On the lighter side of news, some new restaurants opened in Burlington.
Osteria Nino brought Roman cuisine to town when the new restaurant opened in April, and the first Redstone American Grill in Massachusetts opened in August. Another restaurant, Papa Razzi was renovated and re-introduced as Papa Razzi Metro this year.
