Child on Bike Clipped by Vehicle, Multiple Reports of Mailbox Vandalism

Following are excerpts from the Burlington Police Department log. Note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
Friday, November 1-
- At 7:19 a.m. a Peach Orchard Road caller reported malicious damage to his motor vehicle. A rear window was smashed overnight. Nothing was stolen despite numerous items inside.
- At 10:35 a.m. a Wilmington Road caller reported a suspicious white male wearing a gray sweatshirt cut through their yard.
- At 11:01 a.m. a Kingsdale Street caller reported a landscaping company was dumping refuse from a fall clean-up on his property. Police spoke to the company and the issue was settled. The company was unaware the property was someone else's.
- At 2:28 p.m. police issued a summons to Transportation Inc. of Lowell on a charge of forge/misuse of an RMV document.
- At 9:56 p.m. a Cutting Lane caller reported a group of males walked into his driveway and smoked marijuana.
- At 8:27 a.m. a Sandra Avenue caller reported his mailbox was taken from the pole and tossed into the woods. Police found that several mailboxes and/or posts removed from the ground in the area.
- At 9:09 a.m. a manager at Rockland Trust Company reported that damage was done to the lock of the night deposit box.
- At 10:36 a.m. a Peach Orchard Road caller reported their house and two vehicles were egged overnight.
- At 11:31 a.m. a Brookside Lane caller reported his mailbox was pulled from the ground sometime overnight.
- At 3:35 p.m. police issued a summons to a Lowell resident on a motor vehicle brakes violation, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and operating a motor vehicle after revocation of registration.
- At 10:54 a.m. a Vincent Road caller reported her son was struck by a motor vehicle. The caller said the driver did get out of the vehicle to help the child up and was told by the child that he was okay. The driver left without giving the child his contact information and that upset the caller. She also said her son ripped his pants during the accident. Vehicle was a Lexus.
