Domestic Violence Discussion Coming to Burlington
Local nonprofit will be engaging participants in an interactive discussion about the different definitions and types of abuse.
BURLINGTON— The Burlington Board of Health and Burlington Volunteer Reserves Corps (BVRC) are holding their next quarterly meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 11 at 5:30 p.m. Guests from REACH Beyond Domestic Violence will be holding a discussion about the different definitions and types of domestic abuse.
REACH’s hotline and shelter serve abuse survivors from all over the state of Massachusetts. Participants will learn about warning signs and risk factors, and have access to resources. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), 1 in 4 women will report experiencing abuse over the course of a lifetime.
