Driver Trapped In SUV After Burlington Rollover Crash
Firefighters had to remove a trapped driver from an SUV after an accident in which two cars flipped.

BURLINGTON, MA — A driver was trapped in an SUV and had to be removed by firefighters following a crash in Burlington on Tuesday morning, according to a joint police and fire department statement.
The crash was reported at 8:28 a.m. Both vehicles flipped in the area of Burlington Mall Road and Lexington Street.
A Jeep Wrangler and a Honda CRV had flipped and landed on their sides. Both cars were significantly damaged.

The Jeep's driver was able to exit the car before first responders arrived. The driver of the Honda was trapped in the car and Burlington firefighters had to remove them.
The Honda's driver was taken to an area hospital for treatment of minor injuries. No other injuries were reported.

The Jeep's driver remained at the scene of the accident and was cooperative with police.
A preliminary investigation determined that the Jeep was driving east on Burlington Mall Road when it struck the Honda, which was driving east on Lexington Street to turn on Mall Road.
The crash remains under investigation.
