Enroll in a RAD Self Defense Course This Winter
Sign-up for the Burlington Police Department's RAD program
BURLINGTON— The Burlington Police Department is offering a five-night self-defense program through the Rape Aggression Defense System (RAD) this winter.
The program will run on Wednesday nights in February and March 2017 from 6 to 9 p.m, on Feb 15 and 22, along with Mar. 1, 8, and 15 at the Burlington Police Department (Feb. nights) and Burlington Council on Aging (Mar. nights). The department is located at 45 Center Street, and the Burlington Council on Aging at 61 Center Street.
The program is free, and for adult women over the age of 14. All students should be able to attend all five nights of classes. Although the sign-up sheet was unlinked on the Burlington Police Department website, you can sign up by calling Detective Anne-Marie Browne 781-505-4909 or Lieutenant Glen Mills 781-505-4945. Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) is a nationally-known self defense program. RAD's program develops options of self defense so they may become viable considerations to the woman who is attacked.
