Hot Pot Restaurant Plans Approved For Burlington Mall

A hot pot restaurant's plans to open at the Burlington mall were approved by the Planning Board.

BURLINGTON, MA — ChoCho Hot Pot has received approval to open a restaurant at the Burlington Mall. The restaurant's request for a special permit was unanimously approved at an Oct. 17 Planning Board meeting.

The Asian cuisine eatery will open in the former Johnny Rocket's space. The "premium, all-you-can-eat" restaurant has two existing locations in British Columbia, Canada, according to its website.

The new Burlington restaurant will be slightly larger than Johnny Rocket's, according to Mark Vaughan, a representative for the project.

Customers at ChoCho Hot Pot will have their own hot pot to fill with meat, noodles, vegetables, and other ingredients, which are then placed in a broth, cooked, and topped with sauces.

"It's a very fun, interactive dining experience," Vaughan said.
