Five things to know today.

Today is Thursday, August 8. Here are five things to know:
1) Thunderstorms possible
Looks like we could have some stormy weather today. According to the National Weather Service there is a chance of showers and thunderstorms throughout the day. Otherwise mostly cloudy with a high near 81 degrees. Chance of rain and storms tonight as well with a low around 69.
2) Conservation
The Burlington Conservation Commission is meeting at 7 p.m. today in the main hearing room at Town Hall. Check out the agenda for the meeting.
3) Fun with Ronald McDonald
The Burlington Public Library is holding a program featuring Ronald McDonald at 1:30 p.m. this afternoon. Join Ronald McDonald for some fun! Ronald will take children on a 30 minute reading adventure with stories, magic, music, and audience participation. Ronald will pose for pictures with kids after the show. Just drop-in and have some fun.
4) Wii Tournament
Enjoy playing Super Smash Brothers on the Nintendo Wii? Test your skills at the Burlington Public Library today from 2:45 to 4:45 p.m. in a Smash Brothers Tournament and vie for a big prize. The tournament is for children in grade 5 and up. Registration is required for this program: call the Youth Services department at 781-270-1692, or visit the Library's on-line calendar, navigate to August 8 and click on the 'hand' to bring up a registration form.
5) Dance auditions
Miss Louise’s School of Dance is holding auditions for its competitive dance team at 2 p.m. today. Click here for more details.
