The union announced <a href="https://twitter.com/SEIU509/status/1559570228463517697" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">its endorsement </a>on Tuesday. Gordon is an incumbent, serving in the state legislature since 2013. He's facing a primary challenge from local nonprofit leader Timmy Sullivan as the candidates vye for the Democratic nomination in the 21st Middlesex District, which will include Burlington, Bedford and portions of Lexington beginning with this year's election cycle following redistricting. Gordon has secured <a href="https://patch.com/massachusetts/burlington/ken-gordon-picks-endorsements-21st-middlesex-race" target="_blank">previous endorsements</a> from the Coalition for Social Justice and Reproductive Equity Now.
