BURLINGTON, MA - The following is a sampling of log entries provided by the Burlington Police Department. Where mentioned, an arrest does not indicate a conviction.
Thursday, Feb. 11
1:42 a.m - Suspicious vehicle located at top of hill at Overlook Park, Overlook Avenue. Male and female party check out OK. Battery to vehicle died. Towing company called, vehicle jumped and parties sent on their way.
11:20 a.m. - A 24-year-old Nashua man was summonsed for leaving the scene of property damage after a hit and run at the Christian Book and Supply Center, 120 Cambridge St.

11:55 a.m. - Caller reports he left his phone in class while at Middlesex Community College. When he tracked his phone it was at an address in Burlington. Caller requested police go by residence to see if the phone is there. The telephone was turned in at the financial aid department at the college.
3 p.m. - Kohl’s Department Store security reports a female shoplifter left the store with merchandise in a white Pontiac.

5:07 p.m. - Resident of Pine Ridge Road reports a grey SUV acting suspiciously. No one was with the vehicle, all appears OK.
8:59 p.m. - Resident at Tower Hill reports a planter is smoldering at Tower Hill Apartments. Burlington Fire extinguished the small fire.
Friday, Feb. 12
6:19 a.m. - Caller from Speedway, 110 Cambridge St., states gas pumps appeared to be tampered with. Everything appears to be in order. Station is functioning properly.
11:07 a.m. - Caller from Ski Haus, 1 Wheeler Road reports suspicious activity in the store last night caught on surveillance. Same is part of an ongoing investigation.
12:13 p.m. - Officer reports an infant left unattended in a vehicle in the parking lot of Ski Haus, 1 Wheeler Road. Parents located. Child was sleeping in car. Child checks OK.
4:49 p.m. - Caller reports a black pickup truck followed him from the highway through the streets of Burlington.
6:07 p.m. - Woburn Police request unit to their location at Roche Bros., 34 Cambridge St. A unit was dispatched to the area. Woburn Police stopped a motor vehicle involved in a domestic that began in their city. One subject taken into custody by Woburn Police.
6:47 p.m. - Caller reports hitting a dog while operating her motor vehicle near the Memorial Elementary School, 125 Winn St. Dog then got up and ran away.
7:22 p.m. - Person in station reports trying to buy an Apple computer on EBay. Same received only a newspaper in the mail.
7:38 p.m. - Caller reports a possible drunk driver heading south on Cambridge St. Police arrested Sarah Wamala, 44, of Burlington on charges of OUI liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and marked lanes violation.
8:44 p.m. - Burlington Mall Security reports dog in a car in the cold. Police found a healthy Boxer breed dog on a blanket in the rear seat area. Dog is showing no signs of distress at all. Mall security will continue periodic checks and notify us of any changes.
