Working from home can pay off in a big way and eliminate a lot of the hassles of an office job.

You don’t have to worry about a commute or how you look. And in a lot of cases, you can set your own hours.

Sweet deal, right?

Kim Komando, national host of a popular weekend advice radio show, recently wrote in her advice column that “there are plenty of legitimate work-from-home jobs out there.”

So where do you find them?

5 Work-from-Home Jobs on Patch

Employers post thousands of job openings on the Patch Jobs Board every day. It’s pretty easy to find those that let you work from home.

Here are a couple of examples:

• Part-time telemarketer: “If you have any phone sales experience, you should make at least $400 to $500 per week.”

• Inside Sales Representative: “Base salary plus commission plus great benefits — average compensation: $60,000 to $90,000, which comes from approximately two to three sales per week (in most states).”

• Spanish Speaking Interpreters: “Provide over-the-phone interpretation services for federal contracts with DHS, IRS and other commercial entities. Compensation: $12 to $13 hourly.”

• Sales - Lead Generation: “We have three roles and have several openings: $25 per hour (business development), $35 per hour (business development), commissioned sales position $60,000 to $120,000, depending on your production.”

• Data Entry Clerk: “We are currently seeking clerical & administrative assistant candidates for many opportunities. Positions pay $10 to $17 per hour.”
