Man Charged In Armed Robbery At Burlington Hotel: Police

A man is accused of threatening hotel staff during an armed robbery last week, according to police.

BURLINGTON, MA — A man has been charged in connection with an armed robbery at a Burlington hotel, according to police.

Police were dispatched at 4 a.m. Thursday on a report of an armed robbery at a Wheeler Road hotel.

Police spoke to the hotel clerk who said they were robbed by a man wearing a mask. The robber is accused of threatening staff with an unknown blunt object before stealing about $300, police said.

Police spoke with witnesses, which led them to a neighboring hotel where the alleged suspect had fled to.

Police arrested John Michelin, 52, of Lowell, on two warrants Friday.

He was charged with armed robbery while masked and possession of a class B substance.

He was arraigned in Woburn District Court on Monday and held without bail.
