Man Dies In Burlington House Fire; ID Released
A man is dead following a fire that caused the partial collapse of a Burlington home's roof Sunday morning.

BURLINGTON, MA — A man has died after a house fire in Burlington early Sunday morning, according to fire officials.
Firefighters and police responded at 4:08 a.m. to an Evelyn Street home after receiving a call from a passerby reporting a fire.
Crews arrived and spotted heavy fire coming from the home's roof.

Police found a resident in the home, Paul Spencer, 60, of Burlington, who was unconscious. Firefighters took Spencer to Lahey Hospital & Medical Center where he later died. Officials said Monday morning that Spencer died due to injuries sustained in the fire.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.

The fire caused a partial collapse of the one-story, single-family home's roof. Firefighters battled the blaze for 40 minutes before bringing it under control. They remained at the home throughout the morning to extinguish hot spots.
